Dear BBSA members and family and friends,
2009 is fast reaching its end and we are looking forward to 2010. I hope that all the wishes we had for 2009 have become a reality and all the challenges that was set before us for this year have been solved and we can look forward to a peaceful and blessed Christmas and holiday period.
We as the executive of the BBSA thank all our leaders for leading our bands during 2009, for the commitment and dedication shown in leading our bands. Many times these sacrifices go unrewarded but we know that God rewards all who work in His vineyard, we the BBSA thank you all. To our members we say thank you for always being available to use your talents to serve the Lord through our instruments. To the executive I express my sincere thanks and appreciation, thanks for the commitment and support in sharing the responsibilities that go with the executing of our duties to take the lead in the BBSA. We thank God for guiding us throughout 2009.
We express, once again, our sincere condolences with all our members and families that lost loved ones during 2009. We have also shared your loss especially the BBSA members that were called home during 2009. May their memories forever remind us of the dedicated service they gave the BBSA in serving the Lord.
We wish all our members, families, congregations and friends from all over the world Gods riches Blessings at Christmas, may 2010 be a rewarding, peaceful and blessed year and may we continue to serve the Lord through our music and instruments.
Besides the World Cup Soccer finals, the BBSA will be looking forward to 2010 where we will share the combined EBASSA festival in Port Elizabeth from the 24th to 26th September 2010. We hope to see you all there. A lucky few of our members will be attending the Hildesheim 1000th anniversary festival in Germany during August 2010, we wish Bernie and his group the best of luck and may you share the BBSA spirit with all you may meet.
May we all have a safe and peaceful holiday, drive safely so that we may all meet again in 2010.
God Bless,
Christo Appel with Maureen, Lizchan and Gretchen
